so i just got my first bill from t-mobile and it was 88.38$ and my plan has 5.99 t-zones 39.99$ plan 4.99 400msgs..thats 50.97$....did i get charge from viewing my mails/maps/weather/safari/sending emails..ect..?

or i had to pay fees on my first payment?

It should be on your bill... did you actually look at your detailed bill before coming to ask us? :p

It's probably the $35 activation fee, if you're a new customer. After that, there will be fees and surcharges -- your bill will never be $50.97. It will probably end up being around what you paid this month - $35, or about $54. This is true of all postpaid service plans from all US providers.

For reference, my bill is $39.99 (phone) + $4.99 (SMS) + $19.99 (Data) = $64.97, actual bill $69.50....

do the 19.99 data plan better than the 5.99 plan? i have a razor and only offers 5.99 to 9.99$..is there a diffrence? your on t-mobile aswell correct?

As discussed before (yes, I use T-Mobile), the $5.99 is technically for WAP access on non-smartphones like the RAZR, and the $19.99 plan is for EDGE + Hotspot access on smartphones like the Q, etc.

thanks...also what speeds to you get on EDGE on you iphone?

im on 5.99 and i get about 80/113 kbs..is that ok for 5.99 plan..just that you tube dont work..

and how would i get to have that speed..im willing to pay 19.99 clams for that..but i only have option 5.99/9.99..do i have to call t-mobile?if so what do i tell them?

LOL we had this same conversation verbatim in another thread. If you want the "proper" data services package, just call them and tell them you have an iPhone. They'll set it up for you quite happily. Their CSRs even all seem to have the same cheerful banter about the iPhone, suggesting that they've specifically been trained to deal with customers coming in with iPhones. They didn't bat an eyelash.

great..before i call them....dose everything work as if it was a ATT iphone..like you can view/search on youtube..ect..

The only thing I'm aware of that does not work is visual voicemail.

yeah post that but i erase it..thanks for clearing things up for me...one more thing will there be a big diff notice on the speed..? becasue i use it a lot alot at work to kill lots of time..since they killed wifi at my work..grrrs
