I'm not in love with what it is... but in love with what it WILL be.

IN GENERAL
Apple just blew the flood gates wide open with this device. Like it or not the Tech world has gone GaGa over this device.. some negative some positive.. but EVERYONE is talking about it. Its great that we all have our own opinion on it. Many like it and many don't, but one thing we can't deny is the fact that IT WILL sell.. and Apple will create a 2nd Generation of the device.

THE MIDDLE GROUND
Right now its hard for many people to see where this device fits. We've all heard the echos of "Its a giant iPod" ... and who's to blame them for thinking that. But like most people, they fail to look past the here and now and don't see the potential of this software.

For the first time Desktop-Like applications can run on a super-light-weight mobile pad. Just take a look at iWork for iPad... these are NOT kiddy iPhone apps.. these bad boys not only rival the Mac versions but they damn well do most of the desktop/laptop features even BETTER.

This is what will make the iPad a success... once we see developers create breath taking applications on this portable device, the iPad will slowly find its way into peoples daily lives.

THE DAWN OF THE TABLET
Yes, I know, tablets have been around for years now... but it took Apple to get the flame really going.. and because of this Apple now has a heavy weight to carry. I personally think this first Generation iPad will do just OK .... but I have a strong belief that Apple will look at the negatives of this 1st Gen and make something 10x better next go round.

This is only the beginning and I'm so excited to know I will be one of the MANY Apple customers who had faith in them right from the start!! Apple is not GOD .. they won't be perfect, but they damn near came close and I'll support them with this product till the end.

I'll save room for the band-wagoners who will join in the future :D

Wow, couldn't find one valid reason in that fan-boy post why you love the iPad, other than because it's going to be super awesome!!!

Potential is fine, but what they're actually releasing isn't that interesting. Now before someone accuses me of having too lofty hopes for the device, understand that if it simply offered multitasking, I'd be buying it at launch.

I was really hoping for a stripped down Mac with an iPhone UI. Instead I got a large screen iPhone with all of that device's limitations (a device I own and love, incidentally).

I wish Apple had pushed this just a little further.

Yea, this is the impression I got when reading it.

P.S. OP, try not to use so many cliches in your writing.

If it had flash I would be buying at launch.

This product is just a case where the user experience is so important that it's impossible to see the value without getting your hands on one. All the complainers, when they finally get a chance to use it, will say "OMG, this is so much fun! I'm never gonna surf the web without it again!"
