The notch isn't bothering me at all. Now that we can see videos of the mac in action you can see why it was a smart choice by Apple. It was either a notch or a much thicker bezel at the top of the machine which would have been much more of an eyesore! Instead they added it to an unused part of the screen and put the menu bar on the same level so you lose 0 working area on your screen - none of it is even taken up by the menu bar. Love it! Smart, practical and beneficial to the user.

I looked at one at Best Buy today. It’s so great! The display looks amazing. Didn’t purchase since I have a 13” MacBook Pro M1 that I bought in April. Trade in value is pointless and selling it seems to be not what people are wanting. Yet that screen!!!

That's great to hear! I am so excited to see it in person! Did the notch bother you?

Not at all. I barely notice it on my iPhone. Also, the thick bezel on my 13” MacBook Pro drives me crazy. When the 14” was next to the 13” I had to walk away so I wouldn’t just purchase then and there lol. One thing I think people will need to use to is picking it up. It doesn’t have the curve at the bottom so you can’t use your finger tips to easily pickup.
