I'm looking for a way to batch process a lot of photo's to add a drop shadow to them, i have been trying to do this in fireworks, but i just to see an option to do it, is there a way or do i need to use a different tool?
Thanks

PhotoshopCS3:

File>Scripts>Load Files into Stack
Choose the folder that holds all of your pix.
Your photos will be loaded as layers in a single PSD file.

Image>Canvas Size
Expand the canvas enough to accommodate your drop shadow. (20-40 pix)

Select the top layer and apply a drop shadow to it using Layer Styles.
Copy the Layer Style.
Select all of the layers and paste the Layer Style.
All of the layers should now have the drop shadow style applied.

File>Scripts>Export Layers to Files
Choose a destination directory and file format.

You end up with a folder full of photos with drop shadows.
This entire process only takes a few minutes for 30 images.

Thanks for the tips, guess i have to start learning to use photo shop,
I love fireworks, and it does the job great 90% of the time, but then i hit stuff like this....

I use ResizeMe to batch add a drop shadow effect to images.

If you're versed with the UNIX command line you can also give ImageMagick a shot but ResizeMe has worked well for me in the past.
