I'm lost unlocking Iphone, help please.

I hope someone can help me out here please.
Someone gave me an 8gb Iphone(2g) because they upgraded to 3g. Problem is that I'm on Tmobile. I downloaded the ziphone but itunes is telling me to restore the phone and install the new version 2.0.1. I dont know what to do?
Will ziphone unlock version 2.0.1?

if you are on a mac, download the newest version of pwnage tool. it's very easy to use. if you're on a PC, download winpwn and do the same. these will both unlock the new 2.0.1 firmware

I did this yesterday and it works great.
Things you will need to download:
2.0.1 iPhone firmware
Winpwn 2.0.0.4
iTunes 7.7
Boot images for 3.9 and 4.6

OKay thanks for the help guys. I downloaded and installed with pwnage and went well. So let me get this straight, its unlocked and jailbroken (whatever that means lol)?

now do i just insert my tmobile card?

I have a 1g iPhone as well ...used Pwnage 2.02 and everything seemed to work fine but ultimately it still says No Sim with my T mobile sim in the phone...any ideas?

it did not unlock and activate. build new ispw and check activate, unlock base band and the youtube fix. you restored though itunes without custom firmware.
