Hi all! First post! :D

Yeah, so on my beloved new iPhone, the sound works fine for the ringer/itunes but for purchased apps (like the star wars soundboard) I get nothing. I saw elsewhere on here that resetting your general settings can help, but it didn't solve the problem. Any advice? Thanks.

Welcome to MacRumors!

Have you tried a reboot, hard reset, or restore? Instructions below.

Reboot:
1) Turn on iPhone.
2) Hold Sleep/Wake button (top right) until a red slider appears and says Slide to Power Off.
3) Slide the red slider.
4) Once the chasing lines are gone and the screen is black, hold the Sleep/Wake button for about 2 seconds. Your iPhone is now rebooting.

Hard Reset:
1) Power iPhone on.
2) Hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons for about 7 seconds, or until the screen turns black.
3) Your iPhone should reboot. If it doesn't don't worry, just hold the Sleep/Wake button for about 2 seconds.

Restore:
1) Connect to iTunes.
2) Allow your iPhone to back up and finish the sync.
3) In the Summary tab, click the Restore button.
4) Click Restore and Update to the confirmation message that appears.
5) Follow on-screen instructions from there on.

Thank you, and thank you! I will try that right now.

You know what it was? That strange little 'ringer off' button above the manual volume control! It's like a top secret little button they don't tell you about, I feel so dumb. I felt compelled to mention it though in case somebody else ran a search on the same problem.

Other than that, I LOVE my iPhone. No problems whatsoever. Amazing little computer.

^Corrected^

It's more than a computer.
