I'm not getting iMessages in iPhone & iPad together

When I get an iMessage , I want to get the notification in both iPad & iPhone but that's not happening

iPhone is in firmware 5.0.1
iPad is in 5.1


When somebody iMessages me on my cell number isn't the iPad suppose to get that message too ?

Or is it only emails iMessages the iPad gets


Both iPad & iPhone are in the same iCloud/apple ID ACCOUNT

If I send an iMessage with my iPad , I want both iPad & iPhone to get the reply & vice versa

You will only get the message in both places if you have your AppleID setup in Settings>Messages>Receive At on the iPhone. Otherwise, the iPhone is only acting as iMessage using your cell number and not associated with the AppleID that your iPad is using.

On my iPhone I have received at phone number & email


On the iPad I have received at email only, I don't see an option for phone numbers

Both use the same email

The iPad had 2 email accounts , the phone one, I just added the second email to the iPhone received at
