Hey every1,
So my first iPhone had a dead pixel and some dust behind the screen. Took it back to the Apple store and they replaced it no problem.

Started using my second iPhone yesterday and it locked up twice. The second time it gave me the yellow triangle and said "connect to iTunes". I had to restore the phone and thought all was well. Today it locked up two more times.

Should i return this one and get it exhanged for a third one and hope it works 100% this time? :(

I would.

I am not sure what you mean by locked up, but my iPhone has never locked up so that nothing would function.

When i push the top or home button to wake it from sleep/lock, the screen just flickers between black and gray. Once i do the soft reset, two times it resumed fine, but the third it made me restore the phone using iTunes...

Absolutely!!!! Do you think Mr. Jobs would keep one like that?:apple:

I don't blame you for expecting a defect free unit. Take it back. Apple will be cool. I've had no problems with my iPhone purchased on launch day nor have there been problems with my wifes (also purchases on launch day).

It would be good for the unit to be "acting up" when you take it in. It will make for a much easier experience at the Genius Bar.

The iPhone is worth any level of initial aggravation. Many of us have had no problems, but I don't doubt your experience.

This is an expensive device, with a costly point of entry with ATT. Apple has set the bar high for themselves. So far I think they have answered the call. There are many stories here and elsewhere of Apple replacing units for reasons that far transcend manufacturer defects. Apple is serious about success in the phone business. Get a phone you are happy with.
