LOST
im pissed at itunes..

more specifically, the video in itunes. so when you start playing a video (in this case an episode of lost), it doesn't start at the beginning. it starts where you last left off. now this has a decent concept. but most of the time, i like to watch the entire episode.. (just like music). now i watch the episode, but deciding to not waste my time, i exit out during the credits. fair enough. next time i try to watch that episode, i am not gifted by the friendly "previously on lost..." segment.. i am annoyed by having the credits flashing in my face. ok.. so lets say i decide to live through the credits, afterwards, i am exited out of full screen and i have to double click on the video again.

so why not hit the left arrow key and return to the begining of the episode? that is a good question. well i do, but it doesn't send me to the beggining of the episode, does it? no. it takes me out of full screen mode, and sends me to the previous episode... to the credits of the previous episode i might add (says virus with gritted teeth), and after the credits of the previous one, it just decides to stop.

so what is the solution? double click on the episode, exit full screen mode, scrub to the beggining of the episode (where you get to experience the extreme speed of H.264, by it bouncing around, getting the beach ball for a while, and finally landing at the beggining) hitting play, waiting for the computer to figure out how to play, and watch your episode.

like i said, im pissed at itunes... dont get me started about the DRM

good catch.. still incredibly inconvienent how you have to do that for each episode individually. a pain in the ass for 34 episodes of lost...

it doesn't work like that. when you do the info for multiple items, it shows a different info panel.

They really need to fix the "replay from where you left off" feature.

1) There should be a Key Stroke to activate/deactivate it

2) You should be able to turn it on on multiple files simutainously

I say this because I listen to a radio show that no longer is on the air (read: got fired so his talk station could become an oldies station, and the oldies station could become a "Jack-FM" station), but the personality podcasts all his shows through iTunes and via the web. Well, I like to listen to the many episodes sometimes get distracted, and love the "replay from where you left off" feature, but it is just so annoying to activate it on 300+ files, and I wish it wouldn't work when going from one show file to the next, it should start over on that instance.

ya.. or if there was some way they could make it so if the show is stopped at the last 95% of the show, it considers it done.

If you hold down Alt (at least in Windows), one of the letters in each option is underlined, and you can press that corresponding letter to activate the option. In this case, if I hold down Alt and press R and N, it will toggle "Remember playback" and "Next." Doing that 34 times takes about a minute.
