I've never been a big fan of iOS post iOS 6 but I have to say that Apple did a really nice job with iOS 11. Sure there's slight performance issues but that always gets smoothed out. I'm really digging the new dock, that is friggin sweet, the new CC which is not only functional but adds a built in Apple TV remote. I've never liked the how you would bring up your apps since iOS 8 with the horizontal rolodex but there are NO complaints with the way you view all your apps with a swipe up. Fonts are more bold so they're easier to read.
Performance on the 2017 budget iPad is solid with the 1st release of the OS. One thing I haven't gotten used to is the multi-key keyboard. I swipe down to type a number and 50% of the time I get the letter instead. I find Google keyboard approach with a long press for multi-keys is easier to use but I'm sure with practice I'll get the hang of Apple's new keyboard for iOS 11.
All in all I don't find a whole lot to complain about.
