Both my iPhone and my Mac synchronize with my MobileMe. My iPhone synchronizes with my Mac. The problem? Every calendar event and contact has now been doubled!
I want to keep MobileMe as my method of keeping up to date, so I can stop syncing with iTunes, but now the doubles are stuck on my iPhone and won't come off!
I can't believe Apple would overlook something as simple as this...:(

This behavior doesn't seem normal as it does not happen to me.

It seems to have the events that are on my MobileMe and the events from my Mac separated when looking at the calendar selection. The biggest problem is when I am in the phone application I am unable to view only the MobileMe contacts without viewing those from my Mac.

EDIT: I found that by going into the contacts app and selecting only MobileMe contacts, the Phone application seems to be only displaying those. Very odd behavior though.

yes you can, when your in the calendar application, top left you will see a button that says calendar, click on that and that will let you choose what calendar to use, same thing goes with contacts... I had the same issue you did, that was because the settings was on all calendars and all contacts, at this time the settings are all mobile me for my cal and contacts.

Even so, you would think Apple would have thought to check if both the computer synced to and the iPhone are being synced to MobileMe and not need to duplicate everything. Also, the issue that it isn't possible to remove the contacts or calendar events from the iPhone is really odd.
