Hi, I'm selling my 2019 Mac Pro. I received the Mac Pro in a white box. I attached a pic.

Anyone know if that's the shipping box, or does that box go into another box?

Thanks!

That box goes into another larger brown box with styrofoam inserts to protect the white box.

The outer brown shipping box is meant to be a one time use box. It has one of those zip seals where you tug one end and pull it around the box, it tears off to leave you with the upper and lower portions of the shipping box with a slight gap between them where the zip pull was.

You may want to watch Mac Pro Unboxing & Second Impressions: The Power is Back! at about the 1:00 minute mark.

Thanks rpmurray. That was helpful. I don't suppose you know where I can get one?

I don't think they're available anywhere except directly from Apple, and to get one from them you have to buy a 2019 Mac Pro, which is not very economical. It's really just plain thick cardboard, so you could make one from a sheet of the stuff. Or if you're shipping through UPS, FedEX, etc. I think they may be able to create an outer box for you.

I still have the outer brown box for mine, if ever needed I'd package the whole thing back again and you can probably rig up another covering around that box for safety and tape it all up heavily.

If you've disposed of the original one then you'll not have much luck in getting one. Maybe you can ask Apple - it's worth a try.

Thanks rpmurray, I appreciate it. FedEx should have something.

Thanks avro707.

Let us know if FedEx had something that worked or if you found something else that worked, please.
Thinking of all the people asking this same question, years down the road. These posts become so helpful over time.

I would just buy a shipping box and re-cut/shape it according to the MP inner box. The buyer would appreciate the care put into the actual Apple box for his satisfaction when he unboxes it.
