We can't help you without knowing what your problem is. You may begin by calmly explaining your problem:
  1. Window and MacOS X are two different operating systems. What does Windows have to do with your problem?
  2. Which version of PowerPoint are you running?
  3. Which model Mac are you using?
  4. Which version of MacOS X are you running?
  5. Why did you bring up viruses? There are no MacOS X viruses in the wild.

I don't know where to find the version of Mac I'm using- I'm seriously clueless & now when I click on anything at bottom nothing opens.

No. MacOS X is the operating system. It is software. I asked for which model hardware you are using. You can find this information by clicking the blue Apple logo in the upper lefthand corner of your screen and by selecting About This Mac. The information that I request can be found when you click More Info... toward the bottom of the About This Mac dialog box.

It is not at all clear that you have a compatible version of Office for your computer. Single-click the PowerPoint icon. Simultaneously press the [apple] or [cmd] key with the [i] key. There is an [apple] key on both the left and right side of your space bar.

The version of MacOS X is below the Apple logo in the About This Mac dialog box.

Is it a notebook? Portable?

If so, bring it to the Apple store and talk to them about it. They know how to deal with this.

Relax. Issues like this are extremely rare on the mac. All you need to do is take it into your local apple store and have a chat at the genius bar.

Make an appointment here: http://www.apple.com/retail/geniusbar/

They will look at your computer, fix all the issues in front of you, explain why or what happened, and they do it for free.

With apple, even if something goes wrong you are taken care of. Just relax. I know problems can be frustrating. When you get there, explain the situation. They will help you. :)
