Faced with that choice i'd get the macbook.:D

What are you planning on doing with the computer, how long will you be traveling for.

how often do you travel? and is it a necessity to have a laptop when you do? you get so much with an imac, bigger and faster hard drive, bigger and brighter screen, better video card and overall faster processor. if i absolutely needed a laptop wherever i was, then the choice would be easy; i'd get the macbook. otherwise, i'd jump on an imac any day.

+1, if you need a laptop the macbook, if not the imac because of much higher res mostly.

I might get the MPB after all!

I might order from the macmall with this macbook pro! What do you think of it? http://www.macmall.com/macmall/shop/detail.asp?dpno=7133534&Redir=1&description=Apple-15.4"%20MacBook%20Pro%20Intel%20Core%202%20Duo%202.16GHz%20Notebook%20W/GLOSSY%20DISPLAY-MacBook%20Pro I'll just upgrade the ram when I get it!

After using a laptop as my main computer for the last 11 months, I would never want to be tied down to a desktop again. Good choice with the MBP.
