I'm trying to change my Apple Account Icon

I have a foder of icons from interacelift.com sitting on my desktop and i go to system pref's and accounts so i can change my account icon with an icon from that folder.

Well when i try to edit--> choose--> find the folder and open the icon, i get nothing. How can i fix this little problem, or where can i get some icons for my system account OS X account?

Maybe try taking a screen garb of the icon by opening it in Preview, holding COMMAND-SHIFT-4 and selecting the icon. Then, try using the resulting PNG file on your Desktop. I would have thought the user icon was capable of having an icon filetype but maybe not.
