Please help! I'm on quarantine now and this is a great time to have gotten this new PC. I already had a ton of problems and had to delete everything on my Mac because bootcamp wasn't reading that I had enough room. So I reinstalled Yosemite. Then I had some disk errors and had to repair the disk. Now, after reformatting my 16gb USB to ExFAT and trying to use bootcamp, the .iso file will not copy over. Is it possible that the .iso file is corrupt? There was an error downloading when it was nearly finished. I think it was just that the computer went to sleep mode. Idk. It finished downloading completely though. So...what should I do. It just shows some generic error message and doesn't describe the issue. I'm just having issues copying the Windows files about 40% of the way through (according to the bar). So what could be going on? The USB is ExFAT, the USB is large enough.

You need to copy the ISO file into a bootable format. I use Rufus. Of course you'll need a running copy of Windows to do this...Catch-22.

If your PC already has a working copy of Windows, you can transfer that ISO file over to the PC (use the USB drive). Use Rufus from your PC and 15 minutes later, you've got a bootable install media for Window.

You can use dd from the command line to do the same thing from a Mac. I've done it in the past to make bootable USBs for different devices. I think I've even done it with a Windows ISO. Just google "use dd to copy iso file to usb on Mac" and there should be several results showing the command line parameters needed.
