I'm wanting to create a new iCloud account but have a few questions. My Apple ID and iCloud account are the same. I would rather have two different accounts because I don't like using the same password for both.

I'm sharing my Apple ID with family and want to avoid any confusion. They have their own separate iCloud accounts already.

Is there a limit to creating iCloud accounts under my main Apple ID or does that even affect it?

What's the difference between creating a iCloud account and an alias?

Also it ask me if I want to use a current email address or if I want to get a new iCloud email address. In not sure which one to choose.

There is a limit, bit it's like 5 or something. You will be all set creating a second account.
