Have not been able to get help for Apple either. Tried everything. Drivers are correct. Sees the device for Printer but not as Scanner. Would appreciate any suggestions.

thanks in advance

had the same on my hp all in one connected to my eMac ,
but installing the hp software that came with it
did solve it
suddenly my eMac did see the scanner too

Is the device on a wireless network? All-in-ones will only act as printers through Airport. I have this issue at home. If we want to scan, we have to plug the printer/scanner directly into our MacBook.

You've got to install the HP software to your Imac

Hello,

My Hp is slightly different but also an "All-in-one".
In order for your Imac to see the scanner portion, you need to install the supplied software that came with your all-in-one.

As you will be using the HPScan software to use the scanner portion.
