Upon reinstallation of the GPU in the machine, I started it up, got the boot chime, and could see the display light up ever so slightly, i.e. to a backlit black. But nothing else happens on the display. If I hook up an external display, it looks great and operates perfectly.

Could there be an issue with one of the connectors for the display? The really thin one in the upper left corner got a little boogered up (see photo). What does that cable do? Should I try to replace it? If so, what is it called? The other connectors appear to be ok and hook up fine.
