i have a Dell Laptop with a Radeon Pro WX 4130 GPU that i want to put in my iMac since i want to try and put newer MacOS's and maybe Win10 on it. ive seen that big 800+ post about the 2011 iMac like the one i got. but im not going though 800+ pages for a Yes or No answer.
what i want to know it.

1 - With this GPU work in my iMac - Yes Or No?

2- If Yes what do i need to do? do i need to flash mod the vBOIS? Do i need to add a cooper shime? Do i need to mod the metal retention bracket?

From what i can tell the DELL Ver. of this MXM card is just a drop in replacment but i dont know since again ever at page 707 im not going though 100+ pages for a yes or no.

i do have 2 of those DELL laptops. one has a Nvidia GPU and the other has the AMD GPU i want to use in the iMac. So if i can use this AMD card in my iMac i'll just move the Nivdia card into the Dell to get it back up and running since the DELL with the nivdia card is dead and i got them both for $10.

Edite: im waiting for this post to get approvale and i did a bit more looking thx to good and i think i understand what needs to be done but i still need a few answers.

so im wanting to dual boot this iMac with both Mac OS and Win7-10. mostly so i can play Sims 2-4 on this iMac. Apparently the vBOIS doesnt working under BootCamp is what im understanding? if thats the case what GPU should i got for them if thats the case? as is it works as i want it to and i can leave it. but if given the chance to upgrade the GPU to run newer MacOS's and even Win10 i'll want to do it.

i fond this out thx to good around 400 something pages in that maga thread
