iMac 1st gen intel in 2nd gen chasis

Hi

I was wondering if anyone had tried it?, I love the look of the Aluminum chassis, but can't afford a new mac since i could hardly afford my 1st gen imac when i bought it. this would be really cool, all the ports on the outside look the same.

I have a 20" Intel iMac core 2 duo and would like to put it in a 20" 2nd gen Intel imac chassis.

Any help would be much appreciated

Personally I think it's not worth the effort.

highly doubt it. Your iMac is much thicker than the aluminum iMac is. It would be very difficult if not impossible. Just enjoy the good, working mac that you have. If you really wanted to, you could always paint it...

cool project is one thing but you run the risk of having a really expensive paper weight.
