What do you guys think about me wanting a new 2.0ghz 20" iMac G5 without iSight?

I love it. Am on my little 12" powerbook and in the morning, these old eyes are getting too blurry to read the screen. Then the coffee kicks in, and I'm fine.

But what do you guys think? I love the 20" screen and don't care about iSight or Intel now. Any complaints? Oh, and it doesn't have front row. Can that be put on later? Is it worth it to get the G5 2.1 iMac with Front Row and Isight?

Front row cannot be added later. I have used the 20" w/ iSight before and it is one a-mazing machine! I say its worth the extra $$$
On that note, I just purchased a 2.1ghz G5 iMac w/ iSight today.
One word of advise: The G5 iMacs are going to be EOL'd on the 18th (I have it on a reliable source) so buy now!

Is Front Row and iSight worth five hundred dollars?

If I was getting an iMac G5 I'd go with the iSight model. I love my Rev. B as well but the Rev. C is just a much better value and it's a lot quieter. The 20" iMac w/iSight is $1299 refurbished off of Apple.com.

I don't know about the iSight being worth the money, unless you videoconference a lot. I find it to be more of a nuisance really.
I love Front Row and the remote and think they are one of the best
things Apple has done in a long time. $500 though? Definitely not.

They do have the 2.1 iMac G5 on the refub site right now for $1299 and the 2.0 for $1249. Worth it? I think so.

iMac G5 worth it?

My cousin and her husband picked up the 20" iMac w/iSight and Frontrow. iSight was cute for about 2 weeks, same with Frontrow... They haven't used either in months. When I decided to get an iMac G5 I went with the version prior - refurbished. I already had an iSight camera that I never use already. The reviews of Frontrow 1.0 were modest at best. I think Apple's gonna add the next version of Frontrow to iLife. It's a pretty natural fit. If they add it to iLife, it will be able to run on machines it was not installed on. If your looking at getting a G5 iMac at this point, I'd save the money for some other incredible thing. I love the iBook/iMac combination as well. The best of both worlds!

Hey coachingguy Yes that is what I was thinking. Add isight and front row later. Thanks
