Hey guys, like I promised, I said that I would write a review once my imac has arrived, which it now has. So here it is:

Screen: The screen is VERY nice, the glare is hard ot notice unless you are trying to look for it, and the brightness is fine for me. My room is brightly lit, window to my right, and I still can barely notice it.

Performance: Holy crap, this thing rocks. I would have at least 6 safaria windows open, itunes, imovie, msn, and it still doesnt lag at all. While playing WoW, i cranked the settings to high and still get a good solid 40 50 fps outdoors.

Looks: This thing is beuatiful, you can't judge it by the pictures on the internet, go look at it in a store and decide for yourself.

Keyboard and Mouse: Meh. Keyboard is alright, stylish, I don't really like to type on it, but it's fine, and my mouse is a little jerky, but it might just be the mousepad.

Heat: The heat is fine, only on the top by the heat duck is it warm, I can keep my hand on it forever and not have it burn me.

And there you go... If you have anymore questions, ask and I will answer.

My friend bought the 24" iMac, he says the same as you except he doesn't like the glossy screen. He says he has to close the curtains to prevent reflections.

it really isnt that bad, only if you have a dark screen, and even then it isn't noticable.

Mine is hardly noticeable either. My iMac is positioned at a 90 degree angle to my Window. It's not badly noticeable except when the sun is out... ;) But joking aside, it's only noticeable against dark backgrounds (Which I use a lot, but it's not at all annoying.) I like the gloss.

I agree! The performance is great! I don't do anything all that intensive yet (Still saving up for software :p The only problem with switching; Costs a LOT!). Still, moving from a PC with 256MB of RAM and about 7GB of Windows virtual memory (Which is VERY slow. My iMac has quite a bit and I don't know why since I have RAM it isn't using, but it's MUCH faster non-the-less)

I agree 100%! The size gets less "WOAH" after a while, but the thing is still sexy! My only gripe is that dust can gather on the glass and you naturally want to put your finger there to remove it...

Keyboard and Mouse: Meh. Keyboard is alright, stylish, I don't really like to type on it, but it's fine, and my mouse is a little jerky, but it might just be the mousepad.

I love the keyboard. I actually prefer typing on it than most others... Every other keyboard I use now feels "clunky", though! Oh well! that's the price of being used to an awesome computer! :D

However, I cannot say the same about the mouse. It's annoyingly un-ergonomic! Although, my RSI is now dying down :p I think my body is either ignoring the pain or is getting used to the mouse... Apart from the ergonomics, I think it's a LOVELY mouse (Except the scroll ball which is already sticking on downwards scrolls... Although I am a stop motion animator and use modeling clay a lot, thus causing my hands to get very dirty and disgusting when I use the mouse... but after two weeks, it's a bit appalling :p My old Logitech Mouse from 2003's scroll wheel still works near perfectly after about 4 years of use :p) I practically LIVE on the side buttons. I always try squeezing the mice at school on the PCs but they do nothing :(

Heat: The heat is fine, only on the top by the heat duck is it warm, I can keep my hand on it forever and not have it burn me.

Admittedly, Apple has seemed to have fixed this with the recent software update. My iMac was running HOT after I bought it. I had it on for about an hour and it was so hot I would want to remove my hand on touch. I knew it wouldn't burn me, but I still wanted to remove my hand by instinct.
But now it's MUCH cooler. Don't know what it was... maybe the Graphics card has a better cooling control now? Maybe the fans are louder? I don't know, but it's definitely cooler now.

i installed oblivion in bootcamp and it runs perfectly on about 3/4 detail, seems to be a pretty good card, cant wait for them to come out with some good drivers for it, which prolly wont come till leopard, the one thing i would reccomend is maxing out the ram.....anyways cheers....

The only games on mine are WoW, and WC3... They both run great though, settings high, still above 50fps... Haven't tried any BG's yet, I'm sure it will be fine though.

This card is alot better then people think it is :)

EDIT: How do you put WoW into windowed mode??? I know it runs great, but I want to be able to switch back and forth from desktop to game.

Apple-M. WoW performs better full-screen though, but it's a useful keyboard shortcut.
