I am about to buy a companion for my mbp, iMac preferably, but I could get the Mac Pro if someone talks me into it 
I run a variety of programs from CS3 to Maya. Occasionally I might even try a bit of CS Source on bootcamp xp. I do spend a considerably amount of time with these machines, so ergonomics are of great importance too. So I turn to you fellow mac people and ask for a bit of advice on choosing what machine to get.
My first question is regarding the iMac; what are the differences between the screens (20" and 24") aside from the obvious; such things as input lag, response time, refresh rate, colour depth, colour gamut, panel type etc.
My second question is about the benchmarks on the different iMac and the Mac Pro configurations; 3dmark06 + PcMark05 preferably, but other standardized tests would be of great help too. So if you have an iMac or Mac Pro and have ran these tests (or if you have the time to run them), I would appreciate it if you could post the results \w your machine/software specs.
Third question I have is expanding on the previous one, about the differences between Mac Pro and the iMac performance and hardware wise (aside from obvious); real life usage, running multiple programs, multiple screens, running graphic/cpu intensive applications etc. All opinions and experiences regarding this would be interesting to hear.
My last question is regarding the future upgrade options for the iMac and Mac Pro. By this I mean changing/adding cpu/gpu. What kind of operations are they, that is if they are possible in the first place.
