I'll be buying my 20'' iMac when Leopard is released, and I've noticed a number of people on these forums have said when they open their new iMac (20'') that the screen is very bright and the colour, well, stand out to much (make any sense?).

Anyway, will going to the brightness settings of the screen stop this high-level of brightness and colour, or do I need to download a special program? (I heard someone mention something such as calibration or such. If so, where can this be found?)

Thanks for the help,

Tragedies.

It's all within OS X.

Preferences > Displays > Color > Calibrate.

Then follow the onscreen instructions and you're sorted!
