Hey, has anyone experienced issues trying to get the iMac to install WinXP SP3 (JPN) via Bootcamp? Here, allow me to tell you what's happening.. it's rather odd i think.

After successfully partitioning the internal HD, then clicking on the button preceeding to install windows, the system reboots and tries to start the system from the Windows CD; unfortunately that's as far as it goes. The screen goes black and the only visible thing is blinking cursor in the top left...

During all this time, the slot loader tries to read the disk.. and nothing happens... After about 2 hours I forcably power down the machine and eject the disk upon startup. Thinking it's the fault of the disk, use the same windows disk on another system and guess what? WinXP SP3 (JPN) installs without a single glitch.

So.. Anyone experiencing oddies? The Slot loader in the iMac doesn't appear to be faulty cause every single other disk appear to work!! Just won't boot of Windows. It's damn annoying, if you ask me...

I think I read somewhere that you should install bootcamp with SP2 and then upgrade to SP3... but I don't know if that is still the case
Can you try that ?
