Im told the iMac early 2009 cant be used directely as a monitor for the MacMini 2011; connectivity issue.
Will working the MacMini remotely from the iMac work well? Thus trough the LAN connection?

Im interested in the MacMini as server and additional for running specific powerfull aplications that take too much resources from the iMac.
For regular work the iMac is still doing well.

You can connect the Mac Mini to a monitor (just to set it up) and enable Screen Sharing. Then put it on your network headless and connect to it using Screen Sharing (e.g. via sidebar in Finder).

I see; and that will work fine?
I still can take the most out of the MacMini, as it were a main computer, but then connected to a kind of extended monitor/keyboard?
I mean; will there be the limitations/inconveniances doing it this way?
Can the network commands and responses cause a delay to make it disturbing?

Using ethernet or wireless? I would recommend using ethernet. There are limitations. I don't think audio is passed through screen sharing.
