Hi everyone! I'm using 2010 iMac 27 with SATA SSD (for fusion drive) stiicked under optical drive with a 3M tape. I want to change it to new SSD and have a plan to disassemble drive to put a small internal scheme only. Where should I place it too? I thout to install it the same way (between optical drive and GPU heatsing) or tape it on the main HDD.

The only way I see you being able to accomplish this internally is to ditch the optical drive so you can use it’s sata connection.. You can buy a bracket that replaces the optical drive and stacks both SSD’s...
