Imac 2010 Display not working after HDD Replacement

Hi everyone, I was replacing the HDD on my 2010 iMac A1312, when the LCD fell forward and the lcd cable dislodged from the screen, not the board. I carefully lifted the tape on lcd and pushed the cable back into the lcd slot, but after I closed up Mac there is now no back light. Could I have pushed the cable into the wrong slot, or is it more likely that the wire has broken somewhere in the cable. Thank you.
