Dear users,

I installed a Samsung 850 500 Gb ssd into an iMac 2010 21,5 inch.
Normally the speed of the ssd would bee around 400-500 mb/s, but when I test it with the blackmagic speed test it comes around 260 Mb/s at it's heighest..

I enabled trim and done a clean install and the drive is almost empty.. Somebody that knows this problem?

The 2010 model has a 3Gb/s SATA interface, rather than 6Gb/s. This means the I/O will be completely saturated at a theoretical maximum of 375MB/s. So your speeds are consistent with the SATA type.

EDIT: Pipped to the post by a Bent Christian. There's a sentence you don't often say. :D
