whats the difference in proccessors between the 2, both are quad core.

2011 iMacs use "Sandy Bridge" CPUs. That is a new microarchitecture from Intel which is around 20% faster than the older "Nehalem" microarchitecture. There are many detailed articles explaining all the differences

thanks. so last years are "Nehalem" and the current ones are "Sandy Bridge".

While the 2011 is quad core, the difference will only be noticed when using programs that are specifically written to take advantage of the technology.
As for the Thunderbolt port many new accessories will be coming out that use thunderbolt and take advantage of the fast speed. 2011 has a better GPU
Cosmetically 2010 & 2011 are alike
