As SSD-prices goes down, although slowly, do you think that the upgrade price for the ssd+hdd combo in the iMac will drop significantly, just a little or maybe not at all in the 2011 refresh?
I've fallen in love with the amazing speed of the flash drives in the Macbook Air lately and even though I still love my iMac (2010 i5 quad) and know it's a fantastic machine, my grudge against the noisy and slow (in comparison) 7200rpm hard drive is growing on a daily basis. Even so I feel that right now, the upgrade price for the 256 GB SSD in the current model simply is not worth it, but if there is a price drop, combined with selling the iPod that comes along in the Summerish "Back to school" deal might make the price reasonably low enough for me to consider an upgrade. If so, I would be selling my current pretty soon while it is still the latest model, or do you think I should stop bitching and "hold out" for another year or so?

The price isn't likely to drop, as SSD prices aren't plummeting like people thought they would. Plus, Apple likes to take their time following price trends, so their price will probably still be higher even when the market price of an SSD drops (see their current RAM prices for proof)

They will once 25nm SSDs hit the stores (maybe not immediately but when they can meet the demand and more competition comes). I would expect Apple to cut the price of the SSD option in iMac by some but I don't think it will be cheap unless Apple will offer smaller capacities which would be great
