I recently bought a cheap iMac 27in 2014(late) model with 32 GB RAM and 3 TB HD. I was wondering if it is better than the current one that I'm using which is an Imac 21.5in 2019 model with 8 GB RAM, and 256GB SSD.

If the 2014 is better should I just get a 256GB ssd external and install Sonoma on the IMac 2014 and sell the IMac 2019.

By looking at the Geekbench here the results

IMac 2014 vs IMac 2019

I would like everyone's opinion on what they would do

The 32GB RAM will make all the difference, although you cite no info about CPU/GPU. I had a 21.5" 2019 4K iMac, with 6-core i5, 4GB video card, and 32GB RAM; I found it to be a very capable machine, but that thick black frame around the screen was rather annoying compared to my 24" Dell. Eventually a grabbed an opportunity and traded it for a base Studio M1 Max.

I can't say I don't miss it sometimes.

It shows in the bench mark i did.

Imac 2019 is 3.6 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i3

Imac 2014 is 4.0 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7-4790K

Everywhere is looked the IMac 2014 processor is better.
