iMac 2017 (i7, 580 Pro) or iMac 2019 (i5, 580x)

Hello, guys!
at this moment, I’m choosing between

iMac 2017 (i7 7700k, Radeon 580 Pro, 2Tb FD)
and
iMac 2019 (i5 9600k, 512SSD, Radeon Pro 580x)

which one is better for color grading (DaVinci Resolve), montage (Premiere Pro), gaming (red dead redemption 2..)?

The 7700k is benchmarked against the 8600k here.

Assumming that the 9600K is no slower than the 8600k, I'd go for the machine with the faster graphics, the SSD, and the 9600k.

what do you think about MacBook Pro 16 (i9, 16Gb, Radeon 5500m 4Gb) will be more powerful for gaming/video montage?

The current iMacs a year old.

A new iMac, relatively, imminent? Hold your horses if you can manage with your current set up a bit longer.

That said, if you can buy an older/current iMac and get a 'great' deal and you need a machine 'right now' for your work, that's up to you.
