Hi all.
I don’t know if anyone else is experiencing this but when my iMac is asleep the back of it is quite warm and appears to stay on. How do I know this? My external hard disk activity light is on and solid. When it is writing to disk the light will blink to reflect activity.
It could be a power nap issue. I have been checking my iMac every 30 mins or so to see if the heat subsides but it doesn’t. It doesn’t increase nor does the fan come on.

I have filed a bug report I just wondered if anyone has experienced this.

Have you tried turning power nap off? I did, and I found it might have been contributing to wake from sleep crashes on my Late 2015 iMac.

You might also try the above. Sometimes OS updates cause weird things to happen. Also you can call or "chat" with Apple. They even helped me with my Late 2015 and Late 2012 iMacs free of charge for advice. They even can remotely access your computer, and show you what you need to explore on fixing an issue. Good luck!
