iMac 2020 27 sudden fan operation

I've had my 2020 iMac 27 with the 3.3 GHz Core i5 & 32GB for about 9 months now. Have never heard the fans run EVER. Suddenly today they have been spooling up on/off. Pretty quiet but I immediately noticed because it's never happened before. I have a bunch of browser tabs open but same work load as usual.

Any reason why my fans are suddenly spooling out of the blue?

Try resetting the SMC as it controls the fans and could just be a hiccup in the system.
