After Apple released M1 Pro and M1 max chip, I feel that the iMac 2021 which is equipped with M1 has a relatively poor performance when compared to the new MacBook Pro.
What is your view? Is iMac 2021 with M1 chip still worth the price?

Its' much cheaper than new MBP. Give you a very good 24" screen. M1 is plenty fine for folks who doesn't do anything extremely.

It really depends what you are doing. The M1 is more than fast enough for most people’s computing needs, but I think the sweet spot is in the base configurations. Even if you need something like 16/512 financially an iMac 24” still makes sense compared to a base spec 14” MBP with M1 Pro. The base at 1450 euros is comparatively affordable.

And some people will just like the all-in-one form factor, compared to a laptop.

If you want an AIO then yes.

Personally after running an iMac for more than a decade opted for a M1 Mini just because the spearate monitor can be used with ie a work laptop and it’s less expensive not to have to change monitor just because you want a new computer.
