My 21.5 imac is only a year old and i've noticed a clicking noise when the machine is in sleep mode. its intermittent but will happen every 30 seconds or so. I know this problem has been mentioned before and i have only just realised that its probably the PSU.

I've already taken my imac back to the Apple store and explained the problem, thinking it was a hard drive problem. They had my mac for two days running various tests and found no issues. I wish i'd known about the PSU because i would have mentioned it.

I can live with it, but i'm concerned if it will cause an issue further down the line. Can anyone confirm whether this is a potentially serious issue?

Thanks

Jon
