Hi
Just bought brand new Imac 21.5 inch. Tried to download LumenRT Viz 2015 and get an error message to say system will freeze or crash need to upgrade video driver. Have hunted all over to find out how to upgrade video driver but no luck, possibly also not knowledgeable enough. Can anyone help.

that's a windows program, if you just installed bootcamp, then it already has the updated graphic drivers.

Hi Thanks. I haven't installed boot camp. I did not realise I had to but will do so.

Hi Thanks. I haven't installed boot camp. I did not realise I had to but will do so.
I looked at the system requirements and it was a Windows only app.

I run windows on my iMac, and it works well, the only advice is when partitioning the drive (bootcamp does this for you), be sure to provide sufficient space, for now and the future. Since I'm rocking with a 2TB drive, I gave it 100GB.

Ok I get it now. Imac at home and I am at work and didn't realise Bootcamp already on iMac or what it is for!!! So what I have to do now is install Windows 8 as it is free version and set it up using Bootcamp. This will then provide the necessary video driver/s to run LumenRT? Shew this is quite an endeavour. Thanks for your advice, much appreciated.

IF you have the windows 8 license code, you can just install windows 10, and enter the win8 code. You'll have the latest drivers with windows 10. I'm not sure if Apple updates the windows 8 drivers at this point, given that windows 10 has been out for almost a year.

My laptop came with windows 8. Guess I can try and use that, sure the licence code is somewhere around.

You can try it, but it may not work, as OEM licenses are not transferable.
