I've read a lot of threads about people saying that their iMacs are hot to the touch. Mine is just the opposite, mine is barely warm at the top and almost cold on the bottom (backside). I've had it up and running all day today and istat show the cpu temp of 95*F/37*C. NICE. :D

after reading all the bad threads about people having problems I was really worried about buying a new iMac, but I have had zero issues (screen, hd, temp)

I really dig mine- its super after sweating over MS for years
still a few issues but I am a learner
istat is good for info - running 39 degrees
also onyx for maintenance

Congrats. If they offered i7 in the 21 I would have gone that route with extra monitor in a heart beat... too bad...

21.5

Love my 21.5 and it runs at about 30C at the most. I had been Windows all my life until I got a MBP and then bought an IMAC. My son is a computer technician and hated the idea of me buying a MAC. Over priced is all he would say. I gave him my 15 in MBP and bought a 13 in MBP for travel. Now he loves the MACS and wants an IMAC, the big one.

that's pretty much how the "Apple loving products" works. It's almost compared with the bermuda triangle, everyone knows it, once you get in, you "stay in"

i hope that this comparison was not to far out! :p

btw, that's what pretty much what happened to me, 6 years ago i got to know my first iMac (a G3 Snow White edition, my girlfriend's mac), was always talking bad about the mac...until they day the bug caught me :D
