Dear all,
the full story..
I have got a dead iMac 21.5 late 2012 i5 with 8GB ram and 1TB Hdd.
this dead mac also got a damaged LCD connector(fully damaged). the BIOS also was tampered (flashed with SPI programmer) with some 2013 imac dump files.
fortunately we have fixed the connector issue, also flashed the bios with a working dump file, and the iMac now is working and booting up into the setup but with a very slow response and even with some lagging in the mouse movement. and the fan speed is at MAX just a few seconds after the power on.
I have installed high sierra, catalina, mojave, el capitan, and all are taking a very long time to be installed, and after the successful of installation it is still having a very very very slow response and mouse lagging.
I have changed the hdd to an SSD one for test with same result.
I have installed Fan Control App and it shows all sensors are OK, all temperatures are between 30 and 44, most of them are in 30s. but it also shows the fan is at MAX speed.
sometimes if I boot the setup using EFI partition ( I always use USB to boot the setups) I get a very normal setup I mean a good response with no lagging, but after installing the system it lags and becomes slow.
I can confirm if I put the system into the sleep mode then wake it up it become responsive normally for a few seconds then the fan starts to speed up and the response goes down.
anyway I installed windows 10 for test, and it was a very normal installation, both the setup and the after installation system are very OK.
any idea?
