Hi,
Wonder if anyone can help here. Bought a new iMac yesterday - 21.5, 3.06.
based on this issue, is it anything to worry about:
I did migration assistant from my old 20" (running 10.6.4) and everything went swimmingly. The new iMac though still had 10.6.3 so I ran the update (there were a number of other updates as well as the 10.6.4) ...
... it rebooted to a white screen and just sat there a good 10/15 mins doing nothing; no Apple logo/grey screen just white.
I forced it to shut down and restarted and same white screen
I then put the restore disc in thinking it would find it automatically so I could check the drive and to my surprise, it then started to bootup normally from the HD, not from the restore disc (I know about holding 'C' down to force it to use the optical disc but assumed my HD or worse was fried and it would start from the restore disc anyway)
I tried my luck with the few remaining updates and it rebooted fine but my worry is the initial white screen issue and is it something I do need to worry about?
Thanks for any help/guidance you guys can offer
