That's what I've been looking at but I want to make a mock-up of the thing so I can make sure it will fit in the space I have in mind. So I need that height dimension.Or, you could simply get the iMac that ships with a VESA adapter (no stand included)

Thanks. I had done some rough estimates but I figured I should have exact measurements.Knowing that the iMac is 54.7 centimeters wide, and the width/height ratio looks to be 1.46 to 1 (of only the computer part excluding the stand), the height should be about 37.4 centimeters. And of course it is well known to be 11.5 millimeters thick if that matters.
Thanks so much. That's just what I wanted. My estimate was 14.9" so I was pretty close. Now I need to find a big piece of cardboard for the mockup.Measured that.... physical width of screen 21.5 inches, height of iMac without the stand is 14.76 inches
( don't ignore the space that you will want to provide from the bottom of the screen to your actual desk top )
