iMac 24" Progressive Scan possible?

Is there any programs out there to use progressive scan with the dvd drive to up the dvds resolution like an actual progressive scan dvd player would?

LCDs are not the same as your good ol CRT monitor or your living room's TV.

LCD panels are by their nature, all progressive scan.

i thought newer dvd players upscale the resolution for LCDS for higher resolution?

resolution and progressive scan are two entirely different things.

Thanks for the info. I always thought it was for LCDs, but its for CRTS and normal televisions.
