I'm planning on ordering a 24" Alu refurb from the Apple store sometime next week. Now, I don't have a problem with refurbs because I know they are almost always returned quickly for silly reasons. Be that as it may, I am worried about one thing in particular and that's the gradient problem. If I receive my Mac and it suffers from this problem, can I return it to the local Apple store or am I going to have to return it to where it was shipped from? I loathe the idea of having the pack it back up and ship it back.

CTO's cannot be returned at a store....if it a standard model, i believe it can be returned, but am not 100% on that-- i would call your local store

I called, they cannot be returned for a refund but they can be brought in for service and warranty issues, including Refurbs.
