hi, i've upgrade my imac 27 2012 a ssd owc aura 480gb, not the pro one, i did see any thermo sensor to attach, but after use for a while, my imac start to restart itself sevral times a day, and the the fans turn on for longtime before it begame quit, it's really a headache, anyone met the same problem? do i need to change my fan or change the aura ssd? what's the direction please? thank you all.

hi thank you for your answer, my ssd is not 2.5" ssd, but a owc aura, it's not sata connector, you need open the logic board to see the connector on the back of it, and it won't replace or pull out anything, it's an additional drive besides the seagate original one. i think you maybe right about the heat probleme, the new owc aura produit a lot heat, it may be the cause of retart so often, so if i change a new fan, could it be better ?

i see, thank you for your help, i've contacted the seller , they can change it, but i wonder it could be the same probleme after change, anyone know what's the difference between aura and aura pro? i'm thingking to upgrade to aura pro.

I was thinking OWC may provide more diagnostic help, like running a test on the drive, before making the effort to swap it out. If the problem is not the SSD (like not reassembled right) then you will continue to have problems. If the problem is the SSD, then nothing you do will fix it short of replacing it.

What was the temp sensor thing you were talking about? The one for the standard drive? You may be able to run a test on the Aura drive, I don't recall which test is better than another.
