iMac 27" 3.2GHz iCore 3 V/S MacPro Dual Core 2.66GHz

I need some advise, my friends selling 2 Mac, iMac is 10 months old and PowerMac Pro is 2 years old and they are both same prices and my questions is: which one should you buy from him and the reason "why" you go with that machine, thank you very much for all inputs.

1. iMac 27" with 3.2GHz Intel Core i3, 4GB of memory, 1TB hard drive, 8x double-layer SuperDrive, ATI Radeon HD 5670 with 512MB, mouse and keyboard of course, no additional software installed.

2. MacPro Dual Core Intel Xeon Two 2.66GHz "Woodcrest" processors, 8GB memory, ATI Radeon X1900 XT graphics with 512MB memory, 2TB hard drive, 16x double-layer SuperDrive, mouse and keyboard of course, no additional software installed but no monitor.

What is YOUR intended usage with either Mac?

The Mac Pro offers more expandability regarding RAM and HDDs and GPU and additional hardware.

Btw, that iMac is was released in July 2010, thus it is not 14 months old.

Sorry my bad, will corrected the thread,
I will be using this MAC for some works like iWeb design and iPhoto and internet, NO video editing, some catalog layout works, and photoshop, thank you for inputs.

You are best served by the iMac.. Since you aren't doing video editing or anything really heavy at all, I think the iMac or even a macbook pro would do you just fine.. UNLESS you are looking for the expandability and growth of the machine for your needs for the next 3-5 years, then I would go with the Mac Pro, otherwise.. iMac or macbook pro.

The future is heading to mobile computing.. and I think the 2010 or 2011 macbook pro or Imac have enough horse power for what you want to do..

Yes, as even my 2007 iMac with 2GHz and only two cores can do that. It can have up to 25 applications open.
The bottleneck is the HDD anyway. If you would have the chance to have an SSD inside an iMac, then you will fly any current Mac with your usage patterns.
