Hi i am new to macs so i am not sure if this is a setting issue or what but, i installed my M-Audio Firewire 410 card to the Imac 27 using a converted from 800 to 400, and when i shut down the computer, the sound card stays on ? is there anyway i can turn this off ? i dont really fancy leaving it always on , are there any firewire power settings ?

I had a Firewire 1814 and currently have a Profire 2626. Both have a power button, I'm sure the 410 has one too. Have you turned it off? Also, you do NOT need to plug the 410 in via the AC adapter. Bus power from the firewire port is enough. When it is bus powered it SHOULD shut off with the computer.

thanks, i am not using the power supply, only the firewire cable, when i press the power button, the card light start blinking. is this in stand by mode? i would really like it to be completely off once i shut the computer. But as for now when the computer shuts, the card stays on, even when i keep it in standbye and turn the computer back on, the card stays in stand by.
any clues?
