iMac 27" and Sennheiser headset

Hi folks ! I just bought Sennheiser headset for X-Plane 9 simulating but the mic wont work. What should i do ?

No i Didn't, I thought all headsets would work with mac properly..

Sennheiser PC-151 headset, not sure about the inputs

Indeed every headset should work...
Only if it's an USB device you should check it

The newer iMacs have a line-in jack, not a mic jack. So it's possible you need a pre-amp for input.

Rather annoying since far fewer attach line-in sources than want to attach mics. But you're going to need a powered mic or something like the iMic, if they still make that. Or a USB headset/mic.

Yeah I was about to get at robgendreau's point. You will most likely need an amp to power the mic before you can connect it to your computer. Things like the astro mixamp are good for that.
