iMac 27" as bedroom tv, inputs etc....

I was thinking of ditching my clumpy desktop pc and my old 26" sony tv and just having an iMac as a space saving mission.

Is the imac a good tv if you get a tunner? and can I hook up a cable box to it?

Is the refresh iMac's going to support 1080p input so I can hook up a ps3 or are you still limited to 720p?

2) if you get the right tuner
3) they have not mentioned 1080p. I doubt it's changed, but you can wait to see when the new one gets tested.
